Circular motion at the feed end spreads the material evenly across the full width of the screen surface and stratifies it by size. Elliptical motion at the center provides long-stroke elliptical action that conveys material at high capacity and enhances stratification. Reciprocating motion at the discharge end removes near-size particles and improves screening efficiency.
Thanks to the unique horizontal gyratory motion and positive displacement stroke, the screener delivers unmatched separation accuracy. Since the machine’s motion completely lacks a vertical component, long oversized pellets (such as “jack straws” and “toothpicks”) do not upend or become trapped vertically; instead, they remain flat on the screen deck. This allows for highly efficient removal of off-size material without losing any of the on-spec product.
The equipment is specifically engineered for quick, effortless disassembly and reassembly. The use of lightweight components and quick-disconnect clamp handles significantly reduces maintenance downtime, while the smooth internal surfaces make the washing and cleaning process between batches exceptionally simple.
Effective self-cleaning of the screen surface is achieved through an innovative combination of a pre-tensioned perforated screen frame and adjustable variable tappers. This system allows for complete control and prevention of screen blinding by the product without relying on traditional mesh cleaning balls, thereby eliminating the risk of foreign objects entering the final batch.
The screener features a minimal footprint and a remarkably low silhouette, with an installation height that can be as low as approximately 68 cm (27″). Combined with flexible mounting configurations, this allows the unit to be easily integrated into any existing production line with limited workspace or low headroom.
To ensure long, continuous equipment operation, a highly efficient pneumatic cleaning system is utilized. Thanks to periodic, intense bursts of compressed air, the screen deck is constantly kept perfectly clean, completely preventing material from blinding or sticking to the screen openings. The operator can flexibly adjust both the frequency and the force of the air pulses to suit the specific type of raw material. This enables the screening of large product batches without forced line shutdowns for manual service cleaning.
The Plastic Pellet Screener is a compact and economical solution specifically designed for the quick and accurate removal of off-size material and fines when switching between product batches. Thanks to the signature gyratory reciprocating motion that lacks any vertical vibration, non-standard long pellets remain flat on the deck; they do not upend or pass through the screen along with on-spec pellets, ensuring a final product purity of up to 99%. The product line features three models with capacities ranging from 1,500 to 5,000 pounds per hour (PPH). With a low-profile design starting at just 68 cm (27″) in height, the unit is easily installed in tight spaces, while its lightweight build and quick-disconnect clamps allow for rapid disassembly and cleaning between recipe changes.
