CPM HM Series Hammer Mill is designed for efficient grinding of various bulk materials, including grain, feed, oilseed cakes, and biomass. Its robust construction and high-speed hammers ensure reliable operation even with large material volumes. The use of interchangeable screens allows for precise control of product particle size, while the modular design simplifies maintenance and replacement of wear parts, adapting the mill to specific production requirements.
The crusher base is manufactured from carbon steel and features a heavy-duty, rigid frame that ensures precise alignment, energy efficiency, and minimal vibration. The high mass of the structure reduces dynamic loads, providing stable balance and continuous operation. The grinding chamber is equipped with an aerodynamic material discharge system and a regrind chamber that prevents uncontrolled material rotation inside the housing. The design allows for easy installation, fast maintenance, and long service life.
HM Series hammermills are suitable for fine grinding of both friable and fibrous materials. Standard equipment includes coarse and fine hammer positioning, bearing temperature sensors for safe operation, a bidirectional rotor for even wear of hammers and screens, modern trapped-key safety interlock systems, fully adjustable vibration safety switches, and hammers hard-faced with wear-resistant tungsten carbide.
For applications requiring a finer grind (aquaculture, bioethanol, and other specialized processes), a fine grinding package is available. It includes fine grind inserts with replaceable impact plates, a centrally mounted screen assembly with hinged design and chain tensioning, reinforced wear liners with a thickness of 19 mm, backing screens, and a rotor allowing flexible grinding pattern configuration. This setup increases the effective grinding surface and prevents oversized particles from escaping, ensuring a consistently fine product.
The bidirectional rotor ensures uniform wear of working components, while the full-length feed opening provides even material distribution and efficient operation in either direction of rotation. Wear-resistant internal liners are easily replaceable, extending the life of the housing. All components are manufactured from abrasion-resistant steel and designed for heavy-duty operation. Thanks to its well-engineered design, the hammermill delivers high throughput with reduced operating costs and consistent production performance.
