Optimal pellet quality depends heavily on precision thermo-mechanical preconditioning. Or, simply put, pellet quality starts in the conditioner. CPM understands this well, but we also know that “optimal” isn’t the same for everyone. CPM offers a market-leading conditioner that gives you maximum performance and flexible configuration specific to the materials you’re pelleting, all with the lowest operating costs on the market today.
Conditioners are equipped with a hinged inspection cover that provides quick and easy access for inspection and maintenance. Adjustable paddles allow precise control of mixing intensity to meet specific process requirements. The drive can be configured with either a V-belt transmission or a shaft-mounted gear reducer. Steam is added in high volume at low velocity, ensuring uniform heat transfer without localized overheating. Single or stacked configurations are available, along with the option of a variable frequency drive for shaft speed adjustment. Additional inlets for water or molasses can also be provided.
Efficient moisture absorption and stable temperature increase are critical factors in producing high-quality pellets. The conditioners supply steam at high volume and low velocity, enabling uniform heating of the material and maintaining the required conditioning time. The combined effect of temperature and time allows moisture and heat to penetrate into the core of the material. Wide, adjustable paddles ensure consistent and homogeneous mixing throughout the entire volume.
Conditioners are designed to adapt to various production conditions and space limitations. Single or stacked installation options allow efficient use of available floor space. Flexible mounting configurations, considering vertical or horizontal constraints, ensure optimal integration into existing process lines. The compact layout and easy access for maintenance make the LL Series a versatile choice for feed, grain, biomass, or compound feed production lines. Once conditioned, the material is ready for further processing – pelleting, pressing, or drying – with dependable quality and improved production efficiency.
