Leveraging this expertise, the company has developed a new solution — the Horizontal cooler chain conveyor. This equipment combines gentle handling with highly efficient product temperature reduction, serving as an ideal alternative to bulky vertical cooling columns.
The core of the ILCHMANN conveyor-cooler lies in combining an ultra-low conveying speed with a cross-flow of air. This ensures product cooling (cake, pellets, etc.) without any mechanical damage.
The Cooling Process:
– Movement: A heavy-duty chain mechanism smoothly moves the product at an ultra-low speed (5–20 mm/s), which guarantees a precise retention time and completely preserves pellet integrity.
– Airflow: Cool air is drawn from the bottom, passes through specialized wedge wire screens, and permeates the product bed from the bottom up.
– Heat Dissipation: As it passes through the product, the air absorbs heat and moisture, then vents out through the exhaust nozzles in the top covers.
The KKF series features heavy-duty, industrial conveyors with a modular design that allows for easy capacity scaling by extending either the machine’s length or width.

– KKF 500 – for compact, low-capacity lines.
– KKF 800 / 1000 – the most versatile models for medium-sized industrial plants.
– KKF 1200 / 1600 – heavy-duty conveyors designed for high-capacity complexes and large oil extraction plants.
Design Note: The conveyor housing is fabricated from high-strength, thick-walled structural steel to withstand heavy mechanical loads. It is equipped with dedicated inspection hatches that provide quick and easy internal access for cleaning and visual monitoring of the screens.
