The Oil Sludge Catcher (screening tank) is designed for the primary purification of oil after pressing by separating large mechanical impurities (foots). It consists of a rectangular vessel equipped with a slotted screen. Due to its simple yet reliable design with minimal maintenance requirements, the sludge separator ensures process continuity and enhances the efficiency of subsequent filtration stages.
The sludge separator is developed as a high-efficiency unit for the primary cleaning of crude oil from solid particles (sludge) immediately after the pressing process.
Design: The equipment consists of a rectangular reservoir with an integrated slotted screen filter located above the oil level. A circulating drag chain continuously transports the settled sludge to the discharge zone. The removal of collected sediment is performed using a specialized discharge screw.
Materials: Depending on production requirements, the unit is manufactured from either carbon steel or stainless steel.
Accessories: Standard equipment includes a chain conveyor with a drive motor and a transport screw.
