The CPM PM Series for the production of compound feed is a modern pelleting system designed for efficient production of animal feed pellets. It comprises a feeding system, pre‑conditioning (to uniformly treat the raw material with moisture and heat), and the pellet mill, which together produce dense, consistent pellets with reliable properties. Thanks to advanced conditioning technology, the feed mixture is properly “prepared” before pressing, improving digestibility and optimizing production costs. The PM Series is an ideal solution for farms, poultry operations, or feed mills seeking consistency, high output, and a clean, uniform final product.
To obtain high-quality feed, a three-stage raw material preparation system is used:
– DDC (Differential Diameter Conditioner): Mixes raw materials with steam through nozzles for primary “cooking.”
– LTC (Long Term Conditioner): Provides the retention time under heat necessary for deep cooking of the mass.
– SSC (Single Shaft Conditioner): Breaks up lumps, maintains temperature (via a heat jacket), and ensures stable feeding into the press.
The second stage of production focuses on the physical characteristics of the pellets, which depend on the pellet mill operation:
– Structural Density: High pressure from the die makes the pellet solid, preventing it from crumbling during transport.
– Uniform Size: The pelletizer ensures the same diameter and length for every feed unit, which is vital for automated feeding systems.
– Moisture Control: Proper mechanical processing results in a final product with 10–12% moisture, preventing mold growth.

The installed motor can conduct its energy directly to the installed rollers and die. The CPM gearbox concept also allows the installation of commonly available high-efficiency motors with high power ratings.
