Pellet Mills for grass and straw are industrial machines designed to process grassy and straw-based biomass into dense pellets. Such equipment is widely used for pelleting mown grass, hay, straw, and other plant residues. Pelleting reduces raw material volume, simplifies handling and storage, improves material uniformity, and produces a standardized product that can be used as biofuel, organic fertilizer, or feed additive. Modern pellet mills ensure stable operation with fibrous materials and consistent pellet quality.
CPM Europe has developed a solution for all the challenges associated with traditional ways of cutting pellets for the residential wood pelleting industry. The CPM Zenith enables cutting pellets at the same and constant length, improves overall wood pellet quality and increases accuracy.
The roller lubrication system uses closed-loop oil circulation to ensure continuous lubrication of the rollers. An oil-flow to each individual roller enables continuous monitoring and control of the roller bearing temperatures.
The closed system prevents contaminants from entering the rollers, whereas the filtered oil-flow removes potential wear particles from the bearings.

Twin Track uses two rollers and, uniquely, each roller has its own track. Our system pushes pellets with one long, energy-effi cient push per die revolution. This means less energy (in kWh/t) is needed to create the pellet with Twin Track than with 2 or 3-roller machines – which push 2 or 3 times per revolution. And with Twin Track, we’ve also increased the number of holes in each die by a massive 43%. the first pellet mill designed for the biomass industry with direct drive system, without gearbox or V-belts. The new pellet mill performs a high efficiency thanks to its powerful torque motor, saving around 20% of energy, compared to the conventional drive systems.
