Slide gates are specifically adapted for the demanding conditions of recycling plants. Installed under chain conveyors, bucket elevators, feeders, bins, or silos, they provide controlled product discharge and safe flow shut-off. For facilities with a high risk of dust explosion, ATEX-compliant versions are available to ensure complete production cycle safety.
Depending on the automation level and installation conditions, slide gates are divided into three main types:
– Manual: The simplest and most reliable solution. Actuation is performed via a handwheel or a chain wheel for gates located at significant heights.
– Pneumatic: Equipped with pneumatic cylinders for instantaneous and powerful channel isolation. This is the standard for automated lines requiring rapid response.
– Electric: Provides smooth movement of the slide plate. Integrated position indicators allow for both flow shut-off and precise product dosing in intermediate positions.
