Semi-continuous deodorization
Combines the advantages of continuous and batch processes. It allows processing different types of oils without stopping the plant and enables fast production adjustments.
Continuous deodorization
Provides a constant product flow through the system with stable process parameters. Ensures high productivity, energy efficiency, and consistent oil quality.
Batch (cyclic) deodorization
Involves processing individual batches according to defined technological cycles. Offers maximum process control and is suitable for specialty products and variable raw materials.
The Zyklon deodoriser stands as a milestone in the long-term evolution of edible oil refining technologies by JJ-Lurgi. The equipment’s architecture is engineered around the actual movement of the product inside the column, ensuring a controlled passage of oil through all stages of processing. This approach guarantees stable operating parameters, enhances deodorisation efficiency, and delivers high-quality finished products. Unlike conventional designs, the Zyklon minimises uneven processing and eliminates the risk of cross-contamination between streams with varying degrees of purification.
Inside the deodoriser, the oil is evenly distributed across the column cross-section and flows sequentially through specially designed processing zones. The equipment’s internal geometry ensures controlled product movement, preventing any stagnant zones or uneven flow distribution. As a result, all oil particles undergo identical treatment stages, benefiting from balanced residence times in the heating, sparging, and deodorisation zones. This method significantly enhances mass transfer, ensures process stability, and guarantees top-tier end-product quality regardless of the feedstock type.
